Getting Started
What is BidWatch?
BidWatch is a free eBay auction tracker that lets you monitor multiple listings in one place. See live countdown timers, track price changes, compare items side-by-side, and get alerts when auctions are about to end.
Everything runs in your browser. Your listings and settings are stored locally on your device, so there is nothing to sign up for and no account required.
Adding Your First Listing
To start tracking an eBay listing, you just need its URL. Here is how:
BidWatch supports standard eBay URLs from ebay.com, ebay.co.uk, and other regional eBay sites, as well as shortened URLs like ebay.us/... links.
The Dashboard
Once you have added listings, the main dashboard shows each one as a card with key information:
- Title and thumbnail image from the eBay listing
- Current price with currency symbol
- Bid count showing how many bids have been placed
- Countdown timer showing time remaining until the auction ends
- Seller info including feedback score and percentage
Cards are displayed in a responsive grid that adapts to your screen size. On desktop you will see multiple columns, and on mobile they stack into a single column.
The Toolbar
The toolbar at the top of the page gives you quick access to all features:
- Add — Add a new eBay listing by URL
- Refresh — Manually refresh all listings
- Multi-Select — Select multiple listings for bulk actions
- Auto-Refresh — Toggle automatic refreshing on a timer
- Compare — Compare two listings side-by-side
- Statistics — View analytics and budget tracking
- Auto-Delete — Automatically remove ended listings
- Language — Switch between 7 supported languages
- Help — Open the Help Centre (this page)
- Settings — Customise theme, sounds, notifications, and more
On mobile, some toolbar buttons move into the overflow menu (the ⋯ button) to save space.
